Artistic technique of Linocut in Luberon

Linocut course: “Create Exceptional Works in 3 Days”


Linocut is a fascinating artistic technique that will allow you to create exceptional works in just three days. Working on linoleum, digging out details and shapes, then inking the surface and creating prints, is both a tactile and visual experience.

Day 1 - Introduction to Linocut
- Presentation of linocut as an artistic technique.
- Discovery of the tools and materials necessary for linocutting.
- First digging exercises to understand the basics of engraving on linoleum.


Day 2 - Creation of Your Linocut Works
- Exploration of creating images using linocut.
- Practical exercises to refine your engraving skills.
- Creation of your own linocut works using the techniques learned.


Day 3 - Deepening and Personal Expression
- Deepening your digging and inking skills.
- Creation of more complex and expressive linocut works.
- Group critique sessions to discuss achievements, share ideas and progress collectively.

- Location: Rustrel, a place conducive to artistic inspiration.
- Duration: 3 days
- Level: Open to everyone, from beginners to experienced artists.
- Materials: Basic linocut materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own supplies if you wish.
- The course includes demonstration sessions, discussions on linocutting and its artistic potential, group critiques and moments of artistic creation.

Price with accommodation: 1120 euros (all-inclusive: accommodation, full board and equipment: accommodation includes Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings) 

Price without accommodation: 590 euros with equipment provided


Course dates: Wednesday 24 April, Thursday 25 April and Friday 26 April 2024 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a lunch break.
